Birthday Weekend

This weekend, my parents came for my birthday and we all had a good time together. One of the things Russell and I looked forward to was to show them our new house!! They LOVED it! They got so very excited about it. I made dinner. It was Barbeque Chicken (I'll post the recipe later!), green beans and rolls. I also made cookie dough bars.
This is mama and daddy in front of our house.
Saturday was my birthday! I am 23! This was one of my gifts. It is an embosser set with a recipe box. It came with recipe cards and an embosser that says "Kitchen of Meredith J. Price".

We ate dinner at P.F. Changs. It was soo good! We had a really good time together there too.
Here are Mama and Daddy at dinner.
Okay, I had no idea that Russell told the waitress it was my birthday and he thought they would just give me one small dessert but they came out w/ this HUGE cake! It is called the Great Wall of China! See why? Good thing we all shared because my parents got me a birthday cake from one of the best bakeries in South AR. They stopped at Klappenbach Bakery (which has been featured in Southern Living) for my cake!

Russell and I got married 9-8-07. Mama and Daddy came with our wedding pictures that we have been waiting for (almost a year!). This is one of the pictures with my presents. Here is a scarf, purse, notebook and embosser set. By the way, my mama made the scarf herself! AWW!
This morning we went to church and it was a wonderful service! It was so great! This weekend was really great. Also, we are soooo glad that the Razorbacks WON!!!! WOOOOO PIG SOOIE!!

Vote for Logan!

This morning, I talked to my sister, Kelly, and she mentioned a fun and interesting fact about my sweet nephew, Logan! He is running for 3rd Grade Representative in the student council!!! He is so into it! His dad, Eric, has a logo that says, "Logan 4 Rep". It is really cute! Logan has to write a speech for school and everything. He is really growing up. Logan and Lauren moved to a new school this year too. I am so proud that Logan wants to step up and take that position in a new school!!! He is so awesome!
I decided I would promote him on my blog for today! Ha! If I had to give a lot of reasons for people to vote for him I would say:

1. He is a super sweet boy.
2. He is very honest and smart! (He gets it from his parents! :) )
3. He is a awesome friend to all his friends
4. He loves his family.
5. He always thinks of others and helps out with things!

There are so many other reasons too.

So as his "Aunt Meredith" I want to say "VOTE FOR LOGAN!" LOGAN 4 REP!!!!

Baseball, Aquarium, and Fondue

Wow-what a big weekend! We are in a new Sunday School Class that started this morning officially. It is a class for Newlyweds, Engaged and young couples. So to kick it off, David and Jennie Lee, our SS teachers, invited the class to the Naturals baseball game on Friday! I didn't take many pictures. Our friends, Mandy and Chad were there but I didn't get a picture of them. We had a really fun time getting to know Mandy and Chad and Jennie and David.
Unfortunately, we lost but we still had fun!
And they had the most awesome fireworks! It was really great!
Here is David, Jennie, and their precious kids, Faith and Connor. This morning, we went to the class and we kinda expected maybe 2 couples there but there were SIX couples there! This has been something that Russell and I have needed and we have been praying about this for a long time. We are so thankful for this class!!!

So Saturday, we randomly decided to drive to Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is Russell at the Oklahoma Aquarium. We saw SO many fish and all kinds of creatures!
I Love starfish! I just think they are so pretty.
Look! We found Nemo!
Oh my goodness, look at this hugemongous octupus! EEK!
These are really small jellyfish!
I have heard of the restaurant, The Melting Pot, for the longest time and we have always wanted to go. Well here we are! We had a fun time!
We really enjoyed it! It's NO secret that we love going out to eat and cooking too!

So this weekend was a blast! Oh, this morning church choir started again and I loved being back in the choir loft and singing my heart out with all the other choir members! So now, I am going to have to quit blogging for the day and clean house the rest of the day!!!

Birthday, Anniversary, and other topics!

A lot is going on recently. Next week is my birthday and I will be 23. My Mama and Daddy are coming next week to celebrate with us! Another event coming up is mine and Russell's one year anniversary! It will be on Sept. 8th. Let me say that the first year of marriage has FLOWN by! We have had so many things to be thankful for and we are so blessed. Russell is just wonderful! This is a picture of us on our honeymoon last year! This is a funny picture. I remember Minnie Mouse wanted to hold our hands and show off our wedding rings! Odviously, we went to Disney World! We LOVED IT! We will go back sometime in the future. It's really not just for kids. But
when you go, you just feel like a kid again!

Also, my uncle is getting married in September. Russell and I may go to the wedding but we're not for sure yet.

I am so ready for FALL! Aren't ya'll?

Yes, this is a random post! Hope ya'll have a great day!

I've Been TAGGED!

Girls! I STILL can't figure out how to tag other people!!! Jenna tagged me and wanted to know six quirks of mine. Hmm...well let me think! HA!

1. Unfortunately, I can't EVER seem to fix my hair the way I want it. I always love it more when someone else does it. When I went to MK Seminar, Christy did my hair for awards night-it looked great! For my cousin's wedding, Ann Marie did my hair for that and it looked pretty but with me doing my hair-it NEVER seems to work out! HA!

2. I take baths, not showers....but I do once in a blue moon. I have just always liked taking baths for some reason!

3. I have to admit that I love convenience. I know most people do but I am an absolute sucker for it!

4. I have to have a Diet Coke every day (at least 1 or 2). It is one of my weaknesses.

5. Okay I am from South Arkansas and in Camden (my hometown), my cousin Jennifer and I went to Sonic a LOT! They had THE ABSOLUTE BEST cheese fries! Every time I go to any other Sonic, they never make them like Camden's! So it's kinda my thing that I get those cheese fries from CAMDEN ONLY!!! HA!!!

6. I probably mentioned this before, but I am high maintenance! Enough said about that! HA!

So I tag....Laurie, Heather in Iowa, Caroline, Leigh Ann, and Meredith E.

Our New House!!!

Here is our new house!!!! Can ya'll believe it!?!?! Russell and I didn't think we would find something so fast but we did. This is in a nice new neighborhood (they are still building in this area) and we loved it right when we walked through the door.
So that's what I have really been up to! All this week, Russell and I have been working on this. Sometime soon we will begin packing and moving here from our apartment.
Here are a couple of pictures. It's a 3 bedroom 2 bath house, very roomy, nice kitchen, and NEWLY built! This is such a blessing from God because if it weren't for Him, we couldn't get this house that we plan to live in a LONG time!
A picture of the kitchen (where I will spend a lot of my time cooking!) So come and visit us whenever! HA!

Mandy & David's Wedding

Wow! This has been the year of weddings, I tell ya'll what! WHEW! Ya'll I love weddings, always have! I think I had half of my wedding planned by the time I was 9! But Russell and I traveled a lot for weddings this year! It's a lot of driving! Saturday, Mandy and David got married! Mandy and I met at college. We were both in Heritage Singers at SAU. I noticed right off the bat that she was so friendly and fun! We worked together also for a few months and we became close. This is her in her gorgeous dress!
Here are the cute ring bearers!
Aimee, Annie, Kasey, and Stephanie were so fun to get to talk to.
Oh my goodness, Mandy and David sang the song, "When God Made You" together! It was beautiful and they did a great job.
And here is me and Russell at the reception! It was such a sweet wedding. My uncle Bill is getting married in September and we are going to that if we can. Russell and I have almost been married a year! It is so amazing how fast the time has flown by! The year has just zoomed! Can ya'll believe that we are just now getting our wedding pictures back?!?!! Mama and Daddy got them from the photographer last night. So we are anxious about that!

So I haven't had much to blog about. So sorry! But I will get better-ha!

My Kindergarten Teacher

Okay! This is just too funny. This lady is Laura Wilkins. Here is a story!
I went to a small school in Kindergarten called Cornerstone Christian School. Believe it or not, there was only ONE class and well, I was in that class. Our teacher was Ms Wilkins! The school closed the next year and all of us in that class of course went seperate ways...you know...moving, etc. I have always been that kind of person that LOVES to stay in touch with people and LOVES to reminisce. I may have seen her once after that Kindergarten year and then....never knew where she moved to.

Okay! Now part 2 of the story!
I was browsing on the famous Facebook and was on my friend Christy's page and saw the name and picture of Ms Wilkins. I thought, hmm...that pic is so small, I don't know if that is really my former teacher. And so I messaged her just in case and asked her if she ever lived in Camden. She messaged me tonight and said she remembered me and lives really close in this area!

Ya'll I just think that is so funny. I have to say. I thought about my blog friend, Caroline and know that when she's so surprised and excited she says, "SHUT UP SHUT UP!" I thought that same way! HA!

So tell me after this LONG post, have ya'll ever been in a situation where you met someone after years and years? I am sure ya'll have!

Fun Weekend

So the weekend is about over! It just flew by! Hope ya'll had a great weekend! Friday, Russell got off work early because their office had a huge ISD picnic. We decided to go. It was really nice for families. They had great music, lots of people, and free food! Anyway, we really enjoyed it but I just have to say, it was SOOO HOT outside! We nearly melted away! HA! This weather has really been just a lot more humid than normal. This Fall, our lease runs out for our apartment so lately Russell and I have been house hunting a little bit. So Saturday, we looked more seriously and we think we found a great house! We don't know for sure about it yet but we will definitely pray about it. After that, we went to Fayetteville to browse at the mall and eat at TGI Fridays. We saw Jim Youngblood and his family who is from Camden and also a quarterback for the RAZORBACKS!!! So this morning, we went to church. We have missed too many! Gosh! We have been out of town and running everywhere this Summer! We enjoyed it though. Hope this week is a great one for all of you!
