Halloween Flick Picks

Happy Halloween, y'all!
Hope you are ready to celebrate Fall!
We will be home and ready to greet little boys and girls at our door tonight. In the meantime, we will be watching a few Halloween flicks. I thought I would share most of my favorites with you.
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a definite classic. You just can't go wrong with it. It's so cute. I love Charlie Brown..
Hocus Pocus is another great Halloween movie. It's probably at the top of my list for October movies. It was huge when it came out in the early 90's.
Casper is also good. It is pretty funny, too.
Edward Scissorhands is another great movie for Halloween.
Any Harry Potter movie is perfect too. But I like the first one better for Halloween.
Double, Double, Toil and Trouble is so adorable. Who doesn't love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen?
Addams Family Values is pretty good as well.
Do you remember The Worst Witch? It was made in the 80's and I always liked it for this time of year. An oldie but a goodie.

So that's it for my list. You may have noticed that I didn't put ANY horror films in my favorite picks. That's because they literally scare me to death and give me nightmares. No thanks! I just really like friendly, happy family ones.

Be safe, have fun, Happy Halloween, Happy Fall!
They do not say to themselves, "Let us fear the Lord our God, who gives autun and spring rains in season, who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest." Jeremiah 5:24

Logan, the Teenager! He's 13!

Y'all know how much I love my nephew, Logan.
Today is his 13th Birthday!
This is definitely bittersweet for me. He is growing up right before our eyes every time we see him.
Here we are at his 4th birthday party. Logan had an army party! So fun.
Here we are after it snowed when he was one and a half! So cute!
Me with the soccer star just a couple of weeks ago.
Me and my two favorite guys, Logan and Russell, of course!

Logan, I tell you every time I see you that I love you SO much! I want you to always remember that. Everyone loves you and I am sure it brightens everyone's day when they see you. It sure does brighten mine! :)
Oh my goodness, you are officially a TEENAGER!
Happy Birthday, Logan Ward, the best nephew ever!
Love, Meredith and Russell

Kind and Compassionate...Lessons from Mama and Daddy

I could probably share my heart more than I usually do on my blog. I try to keep it happy and positive mostly. I have heard it said before that "you are either in a storm, coming out of a storm, or about to go through a storm." That is basically true in many aspects. That being said, I tend to think about the little things in life that can add up to the big things. For instance, if someone is having a hard day, and a complete stranger saw them at the grocery store, then smiled at the other person, I believe that would be a small detail that could make a big difference in someone's day or even life. I was blessed to have wonderful parents that taught Kelly and I to be KIND to people. Be FRIENDLY to others, and try to make them feel SPECIAL. Isn't that what Jesus teaches us, too? Love one another. Basics of life, people, basics of life. I am telling myself this, also. Even if you know someone from work or church, it's important to treat one another like you would want to be treated, or treat them better. This has been on my heart for a little while lately. I guess because I see the drama, negativity, etc. on the news, on social media and other places. The verse I will post tonight is relavent to this post.
Let's just be kind to one another, and remember to love each other like Jesus loves us.
That's my vent. Love you all! XOXO!

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

Autumn Beauty

I realized I haven't shared these pictures with you yet. Here is our front porch with our wreath, pumpkins, mums, hay, and our lil pumpkin bear!
Thanks to my sweet husband for making our bear. He did a great job, I think.
Love our Cinderella and fairytale pumpkinss
Hello, Mr. Pumpkin Bear!

The other day, I received my Southern Living in the mail. I love it!
Just a few reasons why I adore this magazine.

Saturday, Russell and I went "crafting" at the annual War Eagle Mill Craft Fair. We love the atmosphere there this time of year.
There were tons of people there but it was still fun. We got there earlier in the morning so the traffic wasn't too bad.

We had a country breakfast at the mill restaurant. So good!

I had biscuits and gravy. It had been forever since I had this for breakfast. Yum.

I love him. The end.

Sunday afternoon, we went for a walk. It was so beautiful to see all the fall foliage.

pretty fountain...love!

I had to take a picture of the newest addition to the trail we enjoy walking on. Lil bunny rabbit.

Don't ya just love beauty during Autumn...or any time of the year, for that matter? Enjoy every day!

Sparkly Pumpkins and Fabulous Family

Hello again! I wanted to share about a fall project I finished last week. I made this glitter pumpkin. I just "painted" glue on it, then sprinkled tons of glitter on it.
After my pumpkin dried, I just placed it on a cake stand and added these decorative acorns.

Saturday afternoon, my 6th grade girls Sunday School class came over for a "pumpkin decorating party".
We had goodies to eat, of course. I made caramel corn, pumpkin cupcakes, mulled apple cider, and also mixed peanuts with candy corn, which is such a yummy treat during fall. :) So good!

I love these girls! We love to have fun together and I was thrilled to have them over.
Annabelle, Peyton, Kayla, Hannah, me Kennedi, and Alexa
Let's just say we got glitter EVERYWHERE! It was so worth it though. :)
Working on our project. Everyone did a wonderful job. I was so impressed with everyone's pumpkins!
We had to get a picture together outside together. Love, love them!

Sunday afternoon, Kelly, Eric, Logan and Lauren came!
I have to admit, I get so giddy when we see them. They make me that happy. :)
We stopped at a pumpkin patch to pick up small pumpkins. Lauren and I made even more glitter pumpkins!
 It's pretty messy!
We have so much fun together.
 Lauren, me, and Kelly!

Logan had a scheduled soccer game for Sunday afternoon, but it got cancelled right before the game.
We were sad it was cancelled, but still excited we got to see them!
Russell and Logan
 Aunt Molly, Logan, and Kelly!
He is growing up WAY too fast.
We loved to see them for a little while on Sunday.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1 Corinthians 1:10

Happy Birthday, Mama!

Guess who has a birthday today?
It's Mama's birthday today!
This is one of my favorite pictures of she and Daddy. They were Valentine King and Queen at their high school, as well as high school sweethearts.

Mama with her girls. This was taken earlier this Summer at Crystal Bridges.

Happy Birthday to a wonderful Mama!
Love you lots!

Fab Fall

Fall is definitely here, y'all!
We have been so busy lately but have enjoyed every minute of it!
Saturday, we attended a wedding of one of my sweet friends, Brooke, from work and church.

Sunday afternoon, we picked out pumpkins. We saw plenty of hay bales, gourds, mums, and of course pumpkins.
 Pretty fall colors!
 Hello, pumpkins!
We adore fall so much! We got quite a few pumpkins for our own "fall project." Details to come later.
Russell and the wagon of fall happiness. :)
Last night, I made a glitter pumpkin. I plan to make more and perhaps post how I did it soon. Please ignore that I have to do "touch-ups" of the glitter soon. I still like how it turned out, though.
Celebrate because Fall's here!

Be glad, O people of Zion. rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains as before. Joel 2:23

Saving Grace

Oh my gosh! I had a blast on Friday night with my friend, Christie.
There is a wonderful organization, Saving Grace, in Rogers. Point of Grace came for a benefit concert to help the organization. It was so fun and so wonderful to help out Saving Grace.
Here we are before the concert. I have seen POG several times and loved it every time. It was Christie's first time to see them in concert.
I was tickled to run into Steve, Susan and Mrs. Mary before the concert started. Mary knows POG very well. She was one of the first people to encourage POG 20 years ago to form a Christian music singing group! Everyone loves Mary!
I forgot my camera, so I used my phone for these pics. Not great quality, but oh well!
Leigh, Denise, and Shelley singing away.
When POG started, for years they had very much of a pop and peppy sound. Now it is more acoustic, but I still love it!
My sweet friend, Becky, is the one who started Saving Grace! I just love her! She has a special place in her heart for young ladies!

Denise, Leigh and Shelley! Love em!
Here we are with the wonderful ladies of Point of Grace! I have seriously been a fan of this group since I was 10 years old! Love, love love!
We had lots of fun! Hope your weekend was good! I'll blog soon about the rest of the weekend!
