Unofficial First Snow

A couple of weeks ago, on Sunday morning, we went to church and expected it to snow outside. Some people thought we would have lots of it, and some figured it would be a dusting. I always just go by what is happening outside and roll with it. HA!
When we left church the snow was coming down pretty hard. Here is Jackson in his warm clothes!

Jackson did not know what to think of the snow once we got home. He wasn't too happy about being bundled up like this! HA!

You can't tell in the picture, but it was snowing.
And then, the snow stopped once we got inside! HA! I would call that Jackson's "unofficial first snow." :)

He was excited to be out of that cumbersome coat and hat! :)

Evidence of a little snow!

The other day, we went to Cracker Barrel for "brunch," and it was SO good! Jackson was in a great mood (he usually loves being out and about). We love CB!

Jackson is also beginning to understand how the sippy cup works. At first he would just look at it or throw it on the floor, but since he figured out there was a little apple juice in his water, he now tries hard to drink from it. He's growing more and more!

O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name! 1 Chronicles 29:13

A Visit from KK!

Time is flying. My baby is almost seven months old and I just cannot believe it. And now the holidays are here. Thanksgiving is oh so close, then Christmas will be soon after! Oh my word, I really would like to freeze time! HA! I guess that's why I love blogging.
Our Jackson has been the happiest boy! He was just playing on our bed the other day. He was excited because KK was coming to town!

My mom came on Monday afternoon and we headed to the park because the weather was wonderful and perfect to play outside.

Jackson tried out the swing for the first time! He loved it so much. He laughed a little bit and smiled too. So glad he got to try it out.

He was serious about the swing at first, though. He also enjoyed all the other kids playing outside. He is so observant!

KK reading to Jackson. He loves his "Night Night, Peter Rabbit" book.

Tuesday, I made a homemade apple pie. I try to make one at least once a year. Mama helped make it too. She loved keeping Jackson company while I was in the kitchen.

Before baking it! I will be honest, it turned out well, but burned on the top a little. Am I the only one that burns the top? I followed the directions! HA!

Oh, I could just eat him up! Love this little turkey!

Tuesday night, my aunt Molly came with her sweet dog, Lincoln. Jackson loved petting Lincoln. He loves dogs. We had such fun with family.

Countdown to Thanksgiving is on, y'all! Cannot believe it! Hope y'all are having a fantastic weekend!

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God's love. Jude 1:20-21

November Fun

Our Jackson boy is still loving fall. I think he gets it from his daddy and mommy. :) We love fall in this house! :) We have been pretty busy with different things lately, but it's been so fun.
Love this boy in his pj's!

Friday afternoon, we went on a walk in our neighborhood. He looked so snuggly in the stroller! I showed him the cows and he loved it.

Cows in the pasture

I kept telling Jackson that "cows say MOO!" :)

Friday night, we went to Toyland. It was Jackson's first time to go. There were many parents and kids there and it was crazy, but fun.

We showed Jackson the window display at the square and he enjoyed the snowman.

Sweet J!

Look, everybody! A FALL display! :)

Today, we saw my sister, Kelly, and her family in Oklahoma. It was Jackson's first time in OK!

We had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. It was so good.

Lauren is such a good cousin to Jackson. They love playing together!

Jackson looking out the window at the hotel.

We also got to visit with Eric and Logan later this afternoon. Enjoyed seeing the fancy hotel room they were in! Spending time with my sister and her sweet family is so fun.

Our little fam. Jackson was sooo tired at this point.

Beautiful sunset.
We have had a great weekend so far. Hope y'all have a blessed and special day!

Milestones

Can y'all believe it's November? Thanksgiving is coming soon. Oh, how I love Thanksgiving and of course, Christmas!!! I have always anticipated both of these holidays, but having Jackson now makes it even more fun and memorable. He is six and a half months old and I have to say, I am a tad emotional about it! I feel like that cute little girl on the viral video from YouTube who says, "I DON'T WANT HIM TO GROW UP!!!" Ha!
Jackson has been sitting in his high chair for a few weeks now. He was enjoying apples when I took this picture. He is definitely getting the hang of eating baby food.

Last week, I took Jackson to the pediatrician for his well check. He was longer than the scale! EEK!

Jackson is now trying to us a sippy cup and he drinks a little juice/water every day. I cannot believe all these milestones!
The biggest milestone of all is....
Jackson does not have just one tooth. He has TWO teeth!!! On October 28th, I found his 1st tooth while feeding him bananas. I squealed like crazy and said, "JACKSON! You have your first tooth!!" Then I was even more surprised on October 29th when I found the second one. Mommy is officially in a bit of denial. He sure is growing too quickly. I am truly trying to snuggle him every time I have the chance to.

A sweet friend, Maureen, is such a talented seamstress. I bought material for a blanket soon after we found out about the pregnancy last year. Jackson also needed a changing pad cover, so Maureen made the cover, sewed the blanket, and even added this precious lovie bear for sweet Jackson. We were so surprised. Thanks, Maureen!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful start to your week!
