Celebrating 7 years!

We had a nice anniversary. Jackson and I went to play group with some sweet friends that Monday morning and came back home for the rest of the day. Russell came home from work at lunch. We always love it when he comes home for lunch. :)
That afternoon, he had flowers sent to me! I absolutely love them.

They reminded me of my wedding bouquet and I thought that was too sweet!

We were excited for a date night!

We went to River Grille. It is one of our favorite places to celebrate special occasions.

I had steak. Oh. SO. Good! And yes, I still lost at Weight Watchers this week, by the way. :)

My wonderful friend, Mandy kept Jackson for us while we were gone. Her baby boy, Ezra, got to play with Jackson! So glad Jackson and Ezra are friends. :)

Mandy, Ezra, and Jackson. He was conked out asleep when we got home. Mandy is such a baby whisperer! We were so very thankful that Mandy kept Jackson for us. How special she is to me!

Y'all know I love pictures, videos, preserving memories, etc. So I could not let the day end without looking at pictures from September 8, 2007!  I love my Russell so much. God has certainly blessed me with him. It was a very special day.

Where You Go I Will Go

Today, Russell and I have been married for 7 years! It's our wedding anniversary! I wanted to celebrate by sharing anniversary pictures-years one through seven!
September 2008. This picture was taken by my precious Daddy as we cut the top of our wedding cake, saved from our wedding reception.

We thought it was still pretty good and we were glad to share with Mama and Daddy.

September 8, 2008-this was when we did not have smart phones and selfies took more effort. HA!
We definitely were still newlyweds!

September 8, 2009-Not going to explain it today, but as most of you dedicated readers know, it was a difficult year for our family, but we got through it with God's help. We were learning to praise God in the storm.

September 2010-We celebrated at The Capital Hotel in Little Rock, AR.
This year, we moved to Camden and a few months later, moved to El Dorado.

September 2011-Russell and I took this picture right before our anniversary dinner in NWA. It was a couple of weeks before our second move to NWA and we have been here ever since. :)

September 2012-We celebrated at The Melting Pot in Tulsa, OK.
From walking our 1st 5K to meeting The Pioneer Woman, to getting healthy, it was a great year.

September 2013-I was 6 weeks pregnant with our baby! We did know at 4 weeks pregnant, so we were absolutely ecstatic. I had no morning sickness at this point, so we enjoyed celebrating our marriage and definitely our sweet baby on the way.

September 2014. Here we are: Russell, Meredith, and Jackson, our miracle from God. So much has changed since September 2007. I would not have it any other way. God is truly SO good!!

Russell, I love and adore you more and more every day. Thank you for loving me so much. I love you SO much too! You are truly my best friend and such a wonderful husband. LOVE YOU!

Best Birthday Ever

Hello again! Let's be honest. I have been neglecting this little ole blog of mine. I truly love to blog, but lately, Jackson has been keeping me on my toes. :) Spending time with him is so special to me.
So, I turned 29 on August 30th. It was the best birthday ever because of who I spent it with. Russell and Jackson. Since my bday was on a Saturday, Russell was home with us and we just did whatever we wanted the whole day. I call that a perfect day. :)
Saturday morning, Russell fixed me a healthy version of egg in the hole, "lighter egg in a basket" with strawberry jam. It was so good! I held Jackson and watched a little of my ultimate favorite movie, none other than Steel Magnolias.

Jackson has been loving rice cereal. The first time he tried it was on August 29th.

Look at that sweet grin.

It was soon time to get ready for the splash park! Doesn't he look cool in his sunglasses and sunscreen on his nose? :)

We really did not stay that long at the splash park, but we wanted Jackson to experience it at least once this year. We mainly stuck his feet in the water.

Oh, how I love this boy. Can y'all tell the day has revolved around him? That's the way it should be for sure! :)

He is too fun.

How could we let the day pass without calling those Hogs?
Here is Jackson sporting his smocked Razorback bib. Every Southern baby needs one! :)

Jackson also tried on his Daddy's Razorback hat. It was so fun to dress him up.

Smile!

One of my favorite family pictures! I just love my boys!

That night, we met Amy, Tony, and Leighann at Chuy's for a yummy Mexican dinner. It was so good. Tony showed Leighann how they make homemade tortillas.

The best birthday present.
We had cupcakes for everyone at our house.

Best friends!

Singing "Happy Birthday"

Leighann loved playing with Jackson so much and Jackson enjoyed it too. He was squealing with delight. He loves people so much!

29 has been great so far! Next year, I will be 30! EEK! Oh, well. For now, I am loving life and so blessed to have a wonderful family and awesome friends!
