Did You Know?

Did you know.......
that May is Brain Cancer Awareness month? Chances are, not many people know that. I didn't even know until over a year ago.
Every so often this May, I will post facts or youtube videos about brain cancer. As many of you know, awareness of brain cancer is very close to my heart. It literally hurts my heart to think that I still don't know much about it. We had and still have many questions about it. That is why I am trying to do what I can to promote this. Please pray for a cure for all cancer!!! Thank you so much!
The crown of the wise is their riches. Proverbs 14:24

Happy Birthday Lauren Fielding!

Happy Birthday to the best niece ever,
Lauren Fielding!!!
I wanted to post this just for her today. Lauren, you are EIGHT years old today! WOW!

Look at us saying "mwah!" We always have had fun together....Even though I am your aunt, I think you get your major girly habits from me (i.e. learning to shop from a young age, dressing up, makeup, etc). HA!

Here we are doing our "eskimo kiss". I hope you have a fabulous birthday.

I Love You Bunches, little niece of mine!

Disney World Part 2

I am posting part 2 of Disney World! We loved Disney's Hollywood Studios. See the Hollywood Tower of Terror? We rode that and it was definitely and literally "bottom lifting!" HA! I am sooo serious, it is pretty wild!
But the very first ride we went on was......ROCKIN' ROLLER COASTER!!!!! It was AWESOME! It went from 0-60 miles in 2 seconds! WOWSER!

Later we saw Beauty and the Beast on Stage. It was great and the music was fantastic.
Mama and I went to The American Idol Experience. No, I didn't try out. If I did, it would have taken a lot of time out of my vacation. Mostly, I only wanted to be w/ family more than anything. But we were part of the audience and got to vote on our favorite singer. It really felt like we were in Hollywood!
For dinner, we ate at Sci-Fi Dine In Theater. We got to sit in little "cars" while we ate. It really was neat. And Lauren got to meet up with one of her great friends, Anna Lee! They are like 2 peas in a pod!
Here we are being funny! Lauren and I busted out a duet!
The next morning, we headed to Chef Mickey's for breakfast! Logan and Lauren got to meet a few characters! Here they are with Mickey!!!

And Minnie was too cute!
And I had to get a pic with Minnie Mouse!
and here's Goofy!
We actually went to Animal Kingdom after breakfast. I didn't take too many pics. That afternoon, we headed to Downtown Disney!

We stopped in a neat store there and Lauren got to make her own Mouse Ears Hat!
I had to make one too. I can be a kid at heart lots of times!

Next we went to Logan's heaven...a.k.a. Lego Land! Logan just loved it so much!
Look at the lego people!

And he even became a VIP member! :)
We really had a great time there too! Part 3 is coming soon!

A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes: Walt Disney World Vacation

I am FINALLY putting these pictures up! I hope ya'll enjoy them. Our plane took off early Saturday morning, March 20th. My Mama, Kathy; sister, Kelly; nephew, Logan; and niece, Lauren and I all went to Disney World together. We had a blast! Just ready---for a major picture overload!
Here are Logan and Kelly on the plane ride! They were very excited.
We arrived at our resort, Port Orleans Riverside, around 2:30 or so. It took us a while to find our room but when we finally found it, we were relieved! :)
A Mickey towel design greeted us on one of our beds! Oh, and can ya'll find any "hidden mickey's" in the picture?

This was Logan and Lauren's 1st trip to Disney World. They are showing off their 1st visit buttons!

We took the bus to Magic Kingdom and guess who we saw!
If it wasn't Chip and Dale right in front of the park! :) They were too sweet and cute!

And we also met Pluto! What a sweet dog! HA! We were having fun already!

So pretty!

Love Cinderella's Castle. I got all excited just like a kid when I saw it, I have to admit!

We headed to Fantasyland and our 1st ride was...
Mad Tea Party! What a classic ride at DW!
We also rode Dumbo, It's a Small World, and others.
Cute picture of Lauren by the wishing well.

Kelly and I ready for Mickey's Philhar Magic to start! And ya'll-it was fantastic! We laughed SO hard!

Cinderella's Golden Carousel
Kelly, me, and Mama having fun
We ate dinner at Tony's Town Square in Magic Kingdom then walked back up Main Street U.S.A. to see:
Electromagic Parade!

There's Mickey Mouse himself!

Cinderella, Prince Charming and a mouse! So neat. We just loved this parade. Lauren and I ate our Mickey ice cream bars while enjoying this parade! :)

The parade ended with Minnie Mouse. Sooo fun!

I have to tell ya'll this story! It is something else! We debated about staying for the fireworks and almost left Magic Kingdom. However we stayed there for the show, "Wishes". I sat down on the curb. I was tuckered out by this point. Then I saw this tall man with glasses. I thought, "He looks like my Uncle Charlie.....hmm. IT IS CHARLIE!" So I said, "CHARLIE SAXON!" I know I sounded like some loony! HA! But he saw me and we couldn't believe he was there!
Here is a picture of Mama with her brother, Charlie. He, Aunt Kim, and my little cousin, Camylle are from D.C. so we don't get to see them very often. We didn't even know they were at Disney World until we saw them! HA! Isn't that something? We were too excited to see them!
The next day we went back to Magic Kingdom! We rode the ride in The Haunted Mansion!

Spooooooky! It was fun though! We also did other things that morning. But it started to rain HARD. We took a break at the resort then headed to dinner at Epcot.
So cool!

We ate at Coral Reef restaurant. It was awesome to sit near the aquarium. We enjoyed it a lot.

And my dessert:
We finished dinner just in time for the fireworks, "Illuminations." I didn't get any pictures of it though. However, we did run into.....
Charlie, Kim and Camylle again! It was their anniversary the week of this vacation so I had to take a picture!
And here we all are again at the end of Day 2! Epcot hosted a flower and garden festival while we were there so we got to see many gorgeous arrangements, topiaries, and more!

Well, I hope ya'll enjoyed Part 1 of our DW vacation! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Our Weekend

We have had a great weekend! Our laptop finally is up with internet! Last night Russell and I went to our friends, Mandy and David's house and visited. They are such special friends of ours! We just love them! Today Russell, Mama and I went to the movies and we saw this movie: Letters to God. Oh my word it is SOO good! I will not lie-it was a real tear jerker for me and hit home a few times because it was about a little boy with brain cancer. I will have to say it has been forever since I have boohooed during a movie that much. HOWEVER, It was a wonderful movie. I will recommend it to everyone! We ate dinner at Applebee's after that and headed home for......
The season 4 premiere of my favorite show ever-Army Wives! It is great so far. I promise I will blog as soon as I can tomorrow! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Yes, I am Alive!

Oh how I have missed BLOGGING!!!!! I am sorry it has been practically a month since I have posted my last blog post. I have a lot to blog about. A few weeks ago, we went on vacation, the next week I was sick and did not even feel like blogging, and the next week, we did not have internet. We have a laptop and our laptop still isn't able to get internet because my sweet Russell hasn't had time to set it up yet. Oh the joys of technology-right? So needless to say, I have been incognito on the blogging scenerio! I am using Mama's computer for now and her computer won't let me post pics for some reason. Oh well. I promise, once our laptop gets set up, blogging will be an all go! :) Stay tuned and please don't give up on me on my blogging! HA!
