2009 Year in Review

From now on, I will always remember what a very different year 2009 was. If you have read my blog over the past year you will obviously see that it has not been the easiest year for our family. However, we as a family have stuck together in the worst of times and the best of times. No matter what comes our way!!!! Here is the 2009 Year in Review:

JANUARY:Mama and Daddy celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and we as a family had a fancy dinner with them to commemorate their 40 years.

FEBRUARY:
There was a huge ice storm in NWA and we were practically stuck in our homes for days.

On the 19th of February, Daddy met his Heavenly Father in Heaven. He is now on the heavenly beaches listening to the waves and looking down on his beloved family.

MARCH:
Not much going on this month, but we went to see "Steel Magnolias" on stage! What fun!

APRIL:

Our niece, Lauren, celebrated her 7th birthday with a "spa" birthday party Russell and I enjoyed just as much as her little friends did! :)

MAY:

I, along with my mama and mother in law, had the priviledge to host a baby shower for my best friend, Amy.

JUNE:
Logan and Lauren came to NWA to visit us! We had such a ball together!

JULY:
Amy's daughter, Leighann Grace was born on July 14th. Russell and I got to be at the hospital and hold her that day. How very sweet it was to be there for Amy and family!

AUGUST:
Jackie and Ricky went with us to the Precious Moments Park and Chapel. It was sooo cute and sweet to go again. It's one of my favorite places.

SEPTEMBER:
Russell and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary.

OCTOBER:

I spent a few days in Little Rock with Kelly, Logan and Lauren. Mama visited one day too!

NOVEMBER:
Enjoyed Fall and Thanksgiving family time.

DECEMBER:
Russell and I spent another wonderful Christmas together!
And he started his job at Murphy USA on the 28th of this month!

I wish you joy, peace, happiness and blessings in the 2010 year.
Happy New Year ya'll!

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

Twas the Night Before Christmas.....

Hey ya'll! It's Christmas Eve!
Christmas lights are twinkling, Christmas bells are ringing, carolers are singing! Families are together baking and cooking! Gotta love that!
I thought I would share a couple of my favorite Christmas pictures from my childhood with ya'll! I hope you enjoy! Each one has a story.Christmas Day 1985
This is me and my Daddy. He gave me this bear ornament for my 1st Christmas. I have had it ever since. I love this picture and will cherish it forever! One year for Christmas, I gave Daddy this framed picture. He loved it. I sure do think about him a lot this time of year especially. Daddy adored Christmas!
Oh my goodness! I thought I would share this one too! HA! I know this was taken on Christmas Eve. The stuffed Santa and Mrs. Claus were my grandparents (Nanny and PopPop). Nanny gave them to me later because I loved them so much! :) Mama made my stocking and we also still use it! She did such a great job on the stockings. I think they are so classic for Christmastime! Last but not least, I am holding "Russell Bear". I named the bear Russell Bear because I was 3 or so years old when I got it for Christmas. Russell and Mary (good family friends) gave it to me and I just named him "Russell Bear" because of him! Who would have thought I would later meet a handsome man from McNeil and marry a "Russell Price"? That is something, huh? Anyway, I better go.

Remember the REAL reason for the season! That is Jesus' birth!

Fear not; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

Hectic!

Hectic!

That sums up the past 2 or 3 weeks! We moved 300 miles south of us on Sunday. We are living with my mom for a while until we get settled down here and until we save more money. Saving money is better than spending money, right?! I don't have access to my laptop right now where all my pics are stored. But plan to blog soon after I can use it! So sorry I have missed being on here the past 2 or so weeks! EEK!

Even in the darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. Psalm 111:4

Tis the Season!

Tis the Season ya'll!
Today Russell and I did a little Christmas shopping at one of my favorite stores in town, B LaRue. We found quite a few things for family. This is just a quick snapshot we took in front of our Christmas tree.
And we got this in the mail today! It's a Christmas card from Kelly, Eric, Logan and Lauren! Isn't is cute?

We also went to eat at Venesian Inn...one of our favorites too! It was kind of sad since we don't know when we will be able to eat here again. We may be moving fairly soon. Just don't know when yet!

Now I am just sitting with Russell enjoying some yummy hot chocolate!

We are also watching Deck the Halls. It is pretty funny! It is always great to relax on a Winter night and enjoy the Christmas season!
But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus." Luke 1:30-31

Ann Marie's Christmas Wedding:..Lovely Weather for a Sleigh Ride Together!

Oh my goodness ya'll--get ready for picture overload!
Ann Marie and Lance's wedding was absolutely beautiful. Everything went perfectly! Here they are at the wedding rehearsal dinner. I know they were ready to get married!
The dinner was really pretty. Every table had poinsettias as the centerpiece. Poinsettias are so pretty, aren't they?

Mary Catherine and Jennifer are 2 very proud sisters of the bride. Mary Catherine was the maid of honor and Jennifer was the matron of honor.

You can't go wrong with magnolia leaves!

Ann Marie-what a gorgeous bride!

Lance and Ann Marie took their pictures early on the wedding day and had a specific time to meet in the sanctuary. But Bill and Betsy got a sneak peek! HA!

Look at the decorations!

Jennifer and Matt have been married for a year and a half. What a good picture of them!

See Jennifer's muff? All the bridesmaids carried muffs. Perfect for a Winter wedding!

The Bride and Groom with the flower girl and ring bearer. Such a cute picture!

Ann Marie shows off her ring and beautiful bouquet of amaryllis and red roses!

Look at this sweet flower girl, Hannah!

I thought she looked like a little snow angel!

This was minutes before Ann Marie walked down the aisle.

The exchanging of rings

The new Mr. and Mrs. Lance Stuart!
They walked out to Amy Grant's 1983 version of "Sleigh Ride" which was very cute and appropriate for the time of year! :)

I love my sister and niece!

Logan and Lauren are the BEST nephew and niece! I am so blessed!

A perfect ending to a beautiful wintery gorgeous wedding! They ran through the snow!

And I just had to get one more pic of the night with my wonderful husband!
Russell and I wish Lance and Ann Marie many blessings in their life together! Married life is wonderful!
