Millions of Peaches...

This weekend has been good so far. We love living in the South. This afternoon we went to Suzanne's Fruit Farm to pick peaches. There were tons of endless peach trees on this farm! When Fall comes around we will probably pick pumpkins there too! We really enjoyed it even though it was 104 degrees outside. Yep.....you read right, ONE ZERO FOUR! We weren't there long though. Long enough to find our peaches and go.
I did take time to take pictures of some of the beautiful peaches on the trees!

I thought this peach looked so unique!

We filled this box up with peaches!

Look at how beautiful the peaches look! And they smell divine, I am tellin' ya'll!

We had a great time at Suzanne's Fruit Farm! See ya this Fall, Suzanne! HA!

July Catch Up

I mentioned in my previous post that I would catch up on this month. Here it is in a nutshell! On the 3rd, we went to Leighann's 1st birthday party! I took so many pictures that I will have to post about that later! That weekend, we stayed with our sweet and special friends, Mandy and Chad. We got to spend plenty of time with them. They mean so much to us! And a BIG congratulations to them because they are expecting a baby in February! They told us about it during our visit and we are SO very happy for them! Mandy and Chad-we love ya'll!

The next week, my sister and niece came to El Dorado with Mama to visit us and see our house. Here's a picture of all the girls.

Later that week Lauren got to spend the night and she was our "first house guest." HA!
Lauren and I woke up extra early the next morning and went to the best doughnut place in town-The Spudnut Shop! Have you ever had a spudnut? OH MY GOODNESS! They are absolutely divine. Lauren looooved hers!

We also shopped a little downtown too.

Lauren absolutely loves dogs and other animals. We went to Life's Ruff Doggie Spa to see the dogs. We had fun! We will have to take Belle there sometime!

Russells best friend, Todd came over and made dinner for us. We had fried fish, fries, hush puppies and ........

FRIED BISCUITS! I know......not the healthiest. But you don't have these every day, ya'll. But when we do eat these every so often, add butter and honey and you have a little piece of heaven here on earth!
Last week Mama and I stayed at my sister's house and we had the best time, like we always do! We had dinner at ZaZa. It was yummmmyyy! Their specialty is the pizza they cook in the wood fire grill. The salads are great too!

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but I did get one with my sweet nephew, Logan. I cannot believe how fast he is growing up!

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12

Joy Comes in the Morning

Hope ya'll are having a great week so far! It has been a busy week for us. This afternoon Central Baptist in Magnolia had their annual ladies lunch. Our former pastors wife, Laurie was the guest speaker. When I found that out, I had to be there for the lunch. Mama, Mary and I went together and really enjoyed it. Each table was decorated so pretty.
Laurie is absolutely a joy to be around. I miss her but I am glad we got a picture together! We sang in choir together at church too. She has a phenomenal and beautiful voice too.

She spoke about her testimony and how God can use the situations you have gone through to mold you. She spoke about the passage in Ecclesiastes where it talks about there is a time and a season for everything. Sometimes it may seem like things could never get better in situations. But when we have Jesus, we DO have JOY! And I couldn't agree with that statement more.

Laurie is also soo funny! She performed a hilarious song with two ladies from the women's ministry. Their group was called "Destiny's Chicks!" We laughed and laughed.

Laurie also sang a beautiful song that ya'll may know, "The Prayer".
Some of you that read my blog go to FBC Bentonville. I want yall to know I love
ya'll and miss ya'll lots! Keep in touch! After lunch, Mama and Mary stayed at our house for a little while. We had a good visit, as always! There's nothing like spending time with family and friends.
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5

Friends Forever

Hey ya'll! WOW! I have missed blogging! We got a new computer recently and I can blog now! Our other one was pretty slow...especially for blogging. I'm back! Yes, I have TONS to catch up on. But I will blog about this weekend and then this week try to catch up with this month's highlights after that.

Seven years ago, a girl from OBU came up to me at church and asked me if we could hang out sometime. She was so shy at first. However, we became quick best friends. That girl is my best friend, Amy! Amy and Russell are cousins, by the way. I know I have mentioned that before. Amy, Tony, and Leighann came to South Arkansas for a weekend visit and we were sooo happy to see them!

Here we are at Jackie and Ricky's house last night. We always have a great time together!

Russell and Leighann had fun playing together too.

Today they came to our house to visit! Russell and I showed them around the square downtown. We browsed around several shops and bakery too.
Oh yes....Elm Street Bakery in El Dorado is absolutely fabulous! Leighann had fun!
Best Friends

Here are heavenly desserts at the bakery.
We also took pictures by the fountain on the square.

Leighann, your Aunt Mer loves you!

What a precious angel! We got her a "Pat the Bunny" book and bunny!
Even though Amy and Tony live in Northwest AR, we keep in touch and they will always be our close friends. We were all in each other's weddings and have so much in common. What a blessing!

Southern Living

Hey ya'll! I know, I havent blogged in a little while! This week has been crazy! I wanted to catch up on a few things. First of all, last Friday, Mama and I hosted a Southern Living At Home party and my cousin Courtney is a Southern Living at Home consultant! We had SOO much fun at the party with some of our special friends.
Before the party, Courtney set up beautiful decor around our house and made it look perfect! We made a pomegranate lemonade punch! We had to use the pretty drink dispenser for that! :)

More decor!

Pictured are Vicki and Mama! Vicki and Mama are cousins and grew up together! Vicki is Courtney's mom! Oh how I love family!

I made Cheddar Cheese Pennies and Lemon Blossooms for our snacks. This tray made the goodies look even better! HA!

Some of our friends enjoying the party.

Well, I havent mentioned this yet, but Russell and I moved to El Dorado! We are leasing a house here and we love it!
Here is a picture of our home.

Last Saturday we moved all our furniture and belongings in the house. And we needed a break! Thank goodness we got to visit with family afterwards! We LOVE to catch up and visit! We always just laugh and have a good time together!

Here are the girls! I am holding Courtney's niece, Gracie. What a cutie! She gave us all stickers to wear! How cute! Well, this 4th of July will be good. We will be visiting friends this weekend! Have a Happy one!
