Hometown

First of all, I am sorry I haven't blogged in a while. We had to get a new hard drive for our laptop and we had to transfer data from one new hard drive to the other, which took a long time! HA! Plus, I have just been super busy in the meantime. Sooo.... onto blogging!

Russell and I L-O-V-E all our sweet family!! We had not visited them in a while in Central AR and South AR, so we made a time well-spent visit "down South."
Last Friday, we stopped at my sister, Kelly's house.
Lauren is a talented ballerina and I couldn't wait to see some of her new skills! :) We love pictures!
Ta-Da! Look at those pointe shoes!
Before dinner, we went "window shopping" at Anthropologie. Here's little L showing me that nail polish. We love picking out colors!
We had dinner at Big Orange. It's actually a burger place and so good!
 Kelly, Eric and Lauren!

 Logan, me and Russell
Lauren had fun trying on my earrings. So funny!
After dinner, we went to the Apple store to browse around.
Logan and Russell knew all about those computers and technology!
As you can see, we had a little too much fun with this computer app. No shame! HA!
Kelly and Lauren wanted to try it too! Hilarious! I saw this app before, but not on a large computer screen like this one. Just fun!
We all want a Mac! :)
Russell and I had such a good time with Kelly, Eric, Logan and Lauren. We always have fun together!
We got to Camden late Friday night, so we obviously rested.
Saturday, we went to Magnolia for a little while to see Jackie, Russell's mom. One of my sweet friends, Haley came by too! She and I had a good time catching up!

 Belle loves company too. :)
Mama, B.A, Jackie and Ricky joined Russell and I for dinner Saturday night at Postmaster's Grill in Camden.
It is actually an old post office building from a long time ago. That's why they call it "Postmaster's Grill."
Even the cloth napkins were made in the shape of envelopes. So funny.
 Mama and B.A.
 Ricky and Jackie
I had a yummy salad with berries and chicken.
 Russell and me

Sunday, we went to church and afterwards, we had lunch at one of the best restaurants in Camden--Woods Place. One of the best things about going to Woods is you always see people you know, including people you haven't seen in a while!
I was SO excited to run into Kelly! She is my friend from high school and college as well. We share hilarious memories, including craziness in Driver's Ed during our Senior year of high school. HA!
Sunday night, we went to church and saw even more friends! Here's Mama and Mary! Best friends!
Oh my goodness! I used to babysit these two sweeties! Sarah Cate and Caleigh are the cutest! Caleigh was a flower girl in our wedding, too.
Christy and her three girls! Christy is just the most kind person you can meet! Her girls are too!
 Kendall, Emily, and me
These girls are such sweet friends of mine. They are going to OBU in the Fall and I know they will love it! We had such fun and good laughs together, as always!

Monday morning, I visited my Aunt Nancy and saw my uncles Johnny and Buddy for a few minutes also.  We had a great visit and it's always good to be with the Jordan's! :)

Mama and I had fun together as always, too. But it just flew by!
It was such a good trip down to what we sometimes call "L.A." Lower Arkansas. HA!
What a true blessing family and friends are!!! Truly!

Jesus said to them, "Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor." Mark 6:4

Happy Birthday, Nancy!!!

Today, July 18th is my sweet Aunt Nancy's birthday!
 Happy Birthday, Nancy!!
I love this picture of the two of us. This was taken at my engagement coffee five years ago.
Nancy,
I love you so much! You are so fun, so sweet and caring, and you have always been a great listener for me! :) Thank you so much for being a wonderful aunt and a wonderful person for many, many people! You are a true blessing for me!
Love, Meredith

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14

Crazy Me! Help if you can!

Oh my goodness! I have not blogged in a couple of days because right after I posted about the 4th of July, Russell was reading my blog. He said, "Where are all the posts from May and June?" I was confused at first, but then I remembered I was trying to delete blog drafts that I did not need. Crazy me must have accidentally deleted almost two MONTHS worth of blog posts. The crazy thing is, I have been the most busy in May and June with family and posted just memories on there like photo albums. Now I am pretty sure I can say "sayonara" to those posts. Goodbye, good riddence, Au revoir! Etc!
However, I am still clinging to a slight hope that someone out there in the blog world or internet world knows a way (just maybe) to get them back on blogger! I know, I am crazy for this, but if you know there is not a way, or if you know how to get the posts back, I would REALLY appreciate any feedback. Thank you so much!!!!!
Love, A Desperate Blogger... (Just laugh along if you must! :) )

A Fun Fourth

The 4th of July was busy and fun!
I finally feel caught up on blogging!
I just downloaded the picture collage app on my phone and I am loving it so far! This was my first little collage I made. Happy Everything!

Russell and I are both in choir at church. We had a special service on July 1st to celebrate America!
I have a friend who took this picture and I had to share it. I love it because it shows how we should really celebrate our independence. One Nation Under God! In God We Trust!!!!
I just love and adore sweet Susan. She is one of my sweet friends at church. It is so funny because I tell her that when I am around her it's almost like I am hanging out with myself because she is from South Arkansas like I am. We both have that "Southern Belle" accent and Southern Belle ways. But best of all, she is just an amazing example and one of my role models. We had to get a picture together!
 Russell is the best!
That Sunday night, we went to Fireworks at the Crosses in Rogers. It was great!

Wednesday (the 4th), we had a low key day but decided to have an early dinner at Crystal Bridges restaurant, "Eleven".
I decided to do my nails for the holiday and for fun!
We had an early dinner so we could get a good seat for the fireworks later that night!
Orchards Park is beautiful!!! Music was played and everyone was there celebrating!
We were thrilled to run into our sweet friends Raven, Laynette, and Rusty! Laynette is my hair stylist and she always does a fabulous job, by the way. Raven is about to start her first semester in college. Rusty and Russell always have a lot to talk about! We love the Riley's! We had to get a picture of us girls! :)
I didn't get a lot of pictures of fireworks on my computer, although I took more pics with my phone. But the whole fireworks display was awesome and we loved it!
We really had a wonderful and fun fourth of July!

Amy's 30th Birthday!

Look who turned 30 on June 30th!
Amy turned 30! I love this picture of her. It's too cute!
Last Saturday, we went to a birthday party for her!
Balloons outside waiting on the birthday girl!
 Russell and I helped decorate.
I loved this poster Amy's parents made for Amy. So sweet! I loved all the pictures!
I told Tony we would make homemade lemonade for the party. We used about 12 lemons. It was worth the work to make it, though! Russell was a huge help with that!
 There was lots of food!

 Cake and cookies-yum!
 She was so excited!
 Me and Amy!
 Cousins! Amy and Russell
 Amy and Tony!
Amy is a very talented pianist. So many people love listening to her play piano. She plays beautifully!
 "30" cookies!
Rick's Bakery is awesome!
Flower arrangement from Ron and Debbie and a fruit arrangement! The fruit tasted fabulous by the way. My favorite was the chocolate covered pineapple!
 Displayed pictures
 I love him!
Somone gave Amy an inflatable Advil. Leighann sure enjoyed playing with it! HAHA!

Leighann and Russell are such buddies!
 Enjoying her cookie!

What blessings they are! We had such a blast together, as always!
Amy, you are a wonderful friend of mine and such a great blessing! Thank you for always being there for me and supporting me in whatever has happened throughout the years. I want you to know I'll always be there for you! Love you lots!

I've Been Tagged!

May is here!  Dee Dee, over at This Little Light of Mine tagged me a little while ago and I am just now getting around to doing it!
1. What is your favorite comfort food:
My favorite comfort food is without a doubt, macaroni and cheese! Homemade would be my best choice, but sometimes, I even like the kind in the blue box! :)
2. What is your favorite Summer activity, and why?
To be honest, Summer is not my favorite season. It's just so hot! But if I were to pick something, it would be gardening or going to the beach...when we can take a vacation! :)
3. What is your favorite movie of all time?
Say it with me! STEEL MAGNOLIAS! It is my ultimate fave! It's the most sweetest, Southern, romantic and charming movie all at the same time! "Pink is my signature color!"
4. What is your favorite karaoke song to sing?
I love to sing, so I can't pick just one. 80's songs are very fun, though. I remember when my sister, Kelly drove her car and I would ride along. Kelly blared 80's music and sang along. She seemed to know every single word of the song! They are very catchy and upbeat! S.A.F.E.T.Y Dance, anyone? HA! I also love Celine Dion songs! It definitely varies.

5. Would you rather go to the beach or mountains and why?
The beach! So relaxing and beautiful.

6. What is your favorite board game?
Pictionary is my favorite. I like the idea of drawing pictures and guessing what other people draw too!

7. List five blogs that you love.
I love quite a few blogs, but there are too many to pick just five.
8. What kind of pins to you repin the most on Pinterest?
Recipes. Yep!
9. What do you do to relax?
I love to take a warm bubble bath, then use a face mask!
10. What is your favorite teaching blog?
I like The Inspired Apple a lot!

I tag anyone who wants to play along!

Will and Kate's Wedding Anniversary!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary
to
William and Catherine!
Yes, I know it's cliche, but I am a sucker for anything hopeless romantic. I was one of the billions of people who watched the royal wedding early in the morning hours and loved every minute of it!
I wish them even MORE years of blessings and happiness!
Here is a Bible passage read at the wedding by James, Kate's brother.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one aother in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.  Romans 12:9-11
