A Weekend with the Fam

I have missed blogging, but plan to be back at it for a while. Last weekend, we went to my aunt Dodie's house to swim, enjoy grilled burgers, and spend time with family. We couldn't wait for Jackson to dip his toes in the water and see how he liked the pool for the very first time.
He had his Jake and he Neverland Pirates beach towel, trendy sunglasses, sun hat, and best of all, his cool swim trunks and rash guard shirt that said, "Mighty Cute."

We thought he looked adorable.

Mama, Kelly, me and Jackson.

He loves being outside.

We also rode 4 wheelers behind Dodie and Mike's house. It was pretty fun! I thought I may just ride a 4 wheeler, but I actually drove one.

Logan me and Lauren. Oh, I just adore these two! :)

Logan and Kelly!

My cousin, Emily loved snuggling with Jackson. He was definitely part of the entertainment. Who needs TV?
Saturday night, we stayed at my sister's house and spent time with Kelly, Eric, Logan and Lauren. It was Jackson's first time at Aunt Kelly and Uncle Eric's! :)

Lauren was playing with Jackson right before he went to sleep in his rock and play sleeper. I love this sweet pic!

Jackson loves his older cousins so much.

Eric is a wonderful photographer, so we wanted him to take Jackson's pictures on Sunday. Here's Russell and Jackson after we got him all dressed up.

Eric did an awesome job taking the pictures. Jackson was so good and did not even cry during the photo session. :)
My cousins, Mary Catherine and Ann Marie came to see us on Sunday and I was wonderful seeing them!

I am so glad they came over. It was so good to see them. We love our family bunches!!!
Kelly made a wonderful lunch: chicken florenine lasagna, salad, and bread. I wish I had taken a picture of it. We had such fun in Central AR!

Mother's Day 2014

Mother's Day is here!

I love this picture so much of Mama and her girls. This was taken the night before Jackson was born and I love it very much. Mama and Kelly have both taught me how to be a wonderful mother. They are such fabulous examples for me to follow. They have shown much love, sacrifice, selflessness, and more to their children and I hope and pray I can follow that as much as I can.
Mama, me and Jackson
KK, we love you very much! Happy Mother's Day!

Finally, all of you, be like minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.

Pink Confetti Glitter with Hearts!

It's official. I am now 27, realizing I am slowly but surely approaching the big "3-0" and don't mind a bit. :) Yesterday, August 30th, was my birthday.
I just love the "picstitch" app. I guess this sums up just a little part of my birthday.
Mama and B.A. visited us for a couple of days. We were so glad to see them. Wednesday night, we walked around the square, of course.
I painted my nails yesterday. What can I say, I am a high maintenence girl who loves celebrating and enjoying little "happies." I layered one very pink glitter polish first then added a pale pink with confetti hearts over it. Plus base coat and top coat of course. I called it my bday nails. I think I want to show Lauren, my niece, how to do it!
I was off work yesterday, so Mama and I went shopping! What girl doesn't love shopping? We went to Lifeway, Old Navy, and a few local gift shops.
We met one of my very best friends, Mandy, and her sweet girl, Eden, for lunch at my FAVORITE--The Crumpet Tea Room. Very dainty, very girly. I think so!
Mama finally got to meet Mandy.
 Me and Mama!
We had a lot of fun visiting!
We went to Venesian Inn for dinner and also met my aunt, Molly there. We had a  good visit together.
Russell surprised me with a cake from Rick's Bakery, too! It was ombre pink with little Razorbacks on the side holding pink roses. So pretty! And guess who is featured on the cake? Belle!! HA! She better know how much we love her. :)
 So good.

These sparkler candles cracked me up! And no, I couldn't blow them out! It was quite hilarious!
Our little family!
I am so thankful for everything God has given me! Everyone made it so so special.
Pink, confetti, glitter, and hearts. I think that about sums yesterday up. Don't ya think? ;)

Some of My Favorite Women

I just thought I would post about some of my favorite people. I do have lots of favorites, but these are just some of them! :) My Mama is such a beautiful person! She is definitely one of my favorites! I love her so much. Her love for the Lord just radiates through her.

This is a picture of all my BEAUTIFUL bridesmaids! Pictured from left to right is Ann Marie, Mary Catherine, Jennifer, me, Amy, Emily, Haley, and my wonderful sister, Kelly! I love them all dearly!
I also thought of who I looked up to that I did not even know in person. When I was 9 years old, Heather Whitestone was crowned Miss America.

I remember I was soooo excited when she won. She is still my favorite Miss America. She is a wonderful Christian woman and has quite a testimony. She is deaf. But that did not stop her from winning! Kelly and Eric gave me the book that Heather Whitestone's mother wrote called "Yes, You Can, Heather!" for my 10th birthday. And I remember one time when Kelly even went to an event at U of A with Heather Whitestone as a speaker! Kelly put together a package of pictures, the program and more for me to keep! I was just SO excited!

Princess Diana was also one of my favorites. She was a wonderful and beautiful lady who helped others and was kind to others as well. I remember I was 12 or so when Princess Diana died and I went to a friends house the day of the funeral. I mean, for some reason it was a big deal to us. But we did like her, even though we were young teenagers!

But currently, my favorites are:

Beth Moore

and Paula Deen!
I went to one of Beth Moore's Living Proof Live studies in Little Rock once and I will NEVER forget what an impact it made on my life and many other women's lives too! Beth Moore has a blog also, if ya'll don't know that! :) Go check it out! My friend Lindsey and I plan to work on Beth Moore's study of Esther together soon! We can't wait!
Now, ya'll, about Paula Deen, she is the queen of Southern cuisine! She is just so fun! Everytime I watch her on TV I just get a kick out of her every time! She is hilarious and reminds me of my Nanny. I love cooking Paula Deen recipes. LOVE IT! HA!
Sorry I missed a day or two of blogging. I have been a busy little bee! Hope ya'll have a great day!
**About today's verse: I just thought it was appropriate to include this one. I love it and hope it blesses ya'll in some way!
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30
Love ya'll!
