Jackson Meets Family and Friends

Jackson really enjoyed meeting his sweet family and wonderful friends during his second day of life. :) He certainly stole our hearts and we all adore him so much.
On Tuesday, April 22nd, Logan and Lauren finally got to meet their cousin. I have been looking forward to this a lot because when I was their age, I was ecstatic to meet them. I can't wait to see what's in store for these three. :)

Jackson finally got to meet Uncle Eric too! He always keeps us laughing! It was so good to see my sister and her fam love on Jackson.

Jackson loved meeting Jackie and Ricky so much! They were SO happy to meet him, as well. They are proud first time grandparents. I know they are looking forward to visiting again soon.

I know I have mentioned my sister, Kelly's famous sugar cookies. She surprised us and made these for us and we got to share them with friends. Plus she made an extra plate we enjoyed at home. Even the nurses and the doctor enjoyed them. The bottle, onesie, and bib shapes were adorable and perfect with Jackson's initial.

Jackson was so good with us and we thought it would be fun to pack his Peter Rabbit toy.

Russell, Jackson, me and Lauren walked around the hospital. It was fun to take sweet Jackson.

Meeting Aunt Molly! Molly is so good with babies. I call her the baby whisperer.

So glad Mary Avery came to meet Jackson!

Adrienne loved meeting Jackson, too!

We were so happy to see Chad and Mandy. Love this picture!

Wednesday, April 23rd, Lisa and Jason came to see Jackson. We were so happy they got to come. They are our Sunday School teachers and very special to us.
We are so blessed and thankful for our sweet and special friends.

Dr. Bailey helped deliver Jackson, so we were happy to get a pic!
Wednesday afternoon, we got ready to go home!

Doesn't he look adorable? I may be just a LITTLE partial.

We are so very happy!

Mama, Jackson, me, Russell, Jackie and Ricky right before discharge time!

All buckled in and ready to head home!
Boy, do I look rough. But having a baby is no joke! HA!

And then there were three!
It was such a whirlwind to be in the hospital and recover from a C-section. We are so grateful for all the love, support, and prayers that we felt and still feel now. Being at home for almost two weeks has been great with our baby boy. More updates soon!

Jackson's Birth

Jackson Randolph is officially here as y'all know from the previous blog post. We are absolutely THRILLED to have him here and hug him, kiss him, and simply love him.
We went to the hospital on Easter Sunday, April 20th. I expected to take Cytotec to help things progress a little more, but once the nurses and doctor checked to see progression, they told me I would stay overnight and get epidural when I needed it. That sounded like the plan we were going for!

Me and my sweetie soon before the dreaded IV.
I was one excited and happy mama!

I was so happy that Kelly and Mama were there too! Having my family really helped me so much. They mean everything to me!

Jackson's heart rate

I was so happy to have Lauren with us too. She entertained me and danced in the hospital room. It was quite impressive, as always. :)

Loved this fun collage Kelly sent me.

Ricky and Jackie were so excited too! They could not wait to meet Jackson!

I tried to keep myself occupied on Sunday night with the necessities. I had to keep up with those royals, and especially the royal baby. HA!
Everything was going great. I got an epidural early Monday morning, felt great, and was anxious and excited to meet Jackson.

I had ice chips all day, but the doctor put a splash of root beer in it for me. HA! I got such a kick out of it. If you notice, on my right hand, I am wearing a bracelet Lauren made for me on Christmas with blue and white rubber bands. I called it my "power bracelet." It was so special for me to have throughout the whole hospital visit because sweet Lauren made it for me.

The waiting room was right outside the hospital room.
Well, things don't always happen according to wishes or plans. We are SO incredibly thankful to have sweet Jackson even more. I was really progressing throughout the day on Monday. That afternoon, the nurse noticed something scary, a prolapse cord. Even though Jackson's heart rate was normal, it was a very scary and risky thing to deliver naturally.
After a quick moment of panic, I soon realized that Jackson will have to be delivered via emergency C-section. Russell and I were so scared, but had a strong peace everything would be okay. It was absolutely one of the most scary and surreal moments ever.

Jackson Randolph Price was born on April 21, 2014 at 5:10 p.m. He weighed 7 lb 12 oz and was 19 3/4" long.

Happy Kelly looking in the nursery.

More family looking at our sweet boy!
It took what seemed like forever-4 hours to be exact, for me to be able to hold our sweet son. Once I finally held him, my heart was stolen by him. :)

Jackson and me. I was so incredibly happy to hold my sweet baby boy. And of course I am still SOOO HAPPY! God is so good. What a miracle Jackson is.

He is the most precious boy in the world to us.
We were so surprised when we saw all of his hair and such chubby cheeks!

Jackson,
Mommy loves you more than you will ever know.

More details on the next post! There's tons more pictures y'all! :)

Happy Easter 2014

Happy Easter, everyone!
I am making this post short and sweet. I wanted to share a picture from what I am guessing is from Easter 1991. I love that cute yellow and brick house that I grew up in. :)
But most of all, I love and adore who is in the picture. Daddy, Mama, Kelly and me. Love it lots!
Next Easter, our baby Jackson will be here and he will probably be walking around our house and getting in to who knows what! Tomorrow, we will be resting up, finishing last minute things, and watching our church service online.

This song is one of my new favorites. It's especially great for Easter, as it's the perfect reminder that Jesus has overcome the world! He has it all in His hands! We cannot wait to teach Jackson all about Jesus and how much He loves us.

We will update the blog as soon as we can with updates on baby day!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3

Pre Baby Fun

This is just a post about our life lately. It's been a pretty busy couple of weeks.
My mom, Russell and I met my aunts and cousins for dinner at Mellow Mushroom last Friday. We had to get a pic of the cousins for sure! I am the oldest-yet the shortest. That's how it is in my life! HA! It was awesome to catch up with Emily and Cliff!

My mama and her sisters, Dodie and Molly.
We had a fun time enjoying pizza and catching up.

Russell and I have tried to spend more quality time together since our sweet baby will be here VERY soon. We went to one of our very favorites, The Venesian Inn.

We hardly ever get an appetizer there, but we splurged for the night. Awesome ravioli!

Spaghetti-oh so good. I took more than half of this plate home. It was so good though!

Russell found a robin's nest with the mama robin protecting her eggs. Oh, the beauty of spring.

Beautiful blue eggs. They have not hatched yet, but we are keeping a lookout for them to hatch.

Belle now loves the nursery. She has a new hiding spot-under the crib!
Are y'all ready to see her little makeover? Get ready........

Oh my word! She looks so pitiful in this picture. She just got groomed this morning and she is still getting used to the haircut. Love her blue bows, though! :)

Okay, I have a bit of an update for y'all. Last week, we went to my OB appointment and I had an ultrasound to check the baby's size and measurements. Well, he weighed approximately 7 lbs 7 oz last Wednesday! Also, there have been a few doctors who are familiar with the blood clot fiasco, and my doctor has been in close contact with them to decide when to induce labor, which was recommended and the best thing for me and Jackson.
I will be admitted to the hospital on Sunday and induced on Monday morning, so Monday, April 21st will be baby day! We know that the Lord is in total control of this and we totally TRUST that it will all work out. We are also VERY excited! The reality is really setting in. We will officially be parents soon. We are so ready to start this new chapter in our lives. We really do appreciate your prayers for everything to go as smooth as possible!

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. Psalm 37:5

New Daddy Tribute

Our sweet baby boy, Jackson, will be here soon. As the days get closer and closer to his arrival, I cannot help but think of how very grateful I am to have Russell as my husband. Here is a little "tribute" to Russell, my sweet man.
Oh my goodness, I love this picture I have posted many times. Here we are on our very first date, a blind date, I might add. Head over heels very quickly.

Happy 6th month dating anniversary! October 2005

Fast forward to August 31, 2013. The day we found out about our miracle baby!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of Jackson.....very early on in the pregnancy.

It's A BOY! Finding out that Baby Price is a boy was oh, so fun, especially at Christmastime.

Russell, I cannot say thank you enough for everything you have done for me during this whole pregnancy. You have been there since day one. It has not always been easy, but having you by my side made it so much better and easier. God is so good to me because He gave me you and soon we will have Jackson! I love you more than words can ever describe! You are my best friend and I can't wait to raise our son with you. I adore you.
Love, Meredith
