Shoebox for a Little Girl

Today Russell and I went to walmart and got all kinds of things to fill a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. We do this every year. I always get so very emotional while we put them together. We sure had a good time picking out all of the little girls goodies!
Here's Russell with a book we picked out for her.

I am holding my favorite things we got her: Pinkalicious toys! Aren't they cute?
Even Belle wanted to help us!

Here it is all filled up for a precious girl. We do not know where this shoebox will go. We do not know how old she really is or know her name. But we will be praying for her every day because we know this one shoebox may make a difference in her life.
After the shoebox was filled, we had Baked Potato Chowder for dinner! Perfect for a Fall night!

Holiday House and Wicked!

I hope y'all had a great weekend! We had a fantastic one! Saturday Mama and I went to Little Rock Junior League's annual "Holiday House". Look at these gorgeous decorations! And that was just the beginning of it all!
Beautiful Christmas Tree!

Mama and I shopped til we dropped-literally! Good thing is, I got a little Christmas shopping done! There were TONS of booths there. I saw a few of my friends who I hadn't seen in a while too!

More Christmas Decor!

Yesterday, Logan and Lauren took pictures with me. I took this one of them-what sweeties they are!
We went to the broadway show, Wicked yesterday as well.
Here we are before we left for the show
Here's Logan and his new guitar!
Look at this green water! Looks like it is just for Wicked!
The show was awesome. Just such great music! I have had the songs in my head all day today!

TGIF!

Thank Goodness It's Friday!!! Today's post is pretty random. The other day, since it is now November, I decided to make my yearly "turkey pumpkin"! I just love this cute turkey, don't you? Gobble Gobble!
I think Belle likes it too. She is peeking through the door!

On a much more random note, I wanted to point this out. A few friends of mine (many friends of mine) and I have agreed, we need 2 things in South Arkansas.
We definitely need a Starbucks. This weekend, I am SO getting my Caramel Apple Spice fix! Here I come! HA!

We also need a Chick-Fil-A! Oooo ya'll, if you do have a chick fil a in your area be graateful because it's just so yummy! I am so jealous! lol!
Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Fall November weekend!

With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! Isaiah 12:3

Defying Gravity

I am SOOO excited and can't wait til Sunday afternoon! Kelly, Mama, Russell and I are going to see the broadway musical, "Wicked." I have heard that it is an awesome broadway show. We are really looking forward to it! I love musicals. The first broadway show I ever saw was Les Miserables. I think I was twelve years old! Since then I have seen maybe 5 others. I will definitely update you with more about it Sunday night!

Operation Christmas Child

Well, it's that time of the year again! Time to get our shoeboxes and fill them for a child! That is what Operation Christmas Child is. Samaritan's Purse started this great cause for children all over the world. If you fill a shoebox with things like stuffed animals, board books, yoyos, toothpaste and toothbrush and soap, etc. then a child will open that box that may look like this one:
and it will make a huge difference in that child's life. Just think, a sweet boy or girl opening a bod filled with things they have never had before. Amazing. So consider filling a shoe box for a child. Go to www.samaritans purse.org for more information.

But give that which is within as charity and then all things are clear for you. Luke 11:41
