Commenting Challenge Day 5: Best Meal Ever

It's Day 5 of the challenge! Cannot believe it's almost to an end.
Today's topic: Best meal ever!
Now, honestly, this girl loves food. I frankly had to think a little more on this one because it took more time to narrow it down. :)
Today, if I were to choose any single full meal it would be my Daddy's grilled steak, baked potato, salad with homemade croutons, French bread, sautéed mushrooms, and iced tea. Any fruit cobbler or chocolate cake for dessert, please!
No one grilled steak like Daddy did, so I cannot have that exact thing. Maybe Kelly and I can recreate it soon! :) YUM!
As y'all know-I am Southern as can be. Although, I love carbs. There, I said it. Whew. I got that off my chest! HA!

The Pioneer Woman is one of my favorite people ever, and I use her recipes often. Last year, we had lots of family over for dinner and I made beef brisket with gravy, PW's mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls.
But you could also pair the beef with homemade macaroni and cheese-which is my most favorite food.
Johnita's yeast rolls are the best. My Nanny, Mama, sister and I make these during Easter and/or Christmas-heavenly.
 Chocolate Cake=divine. That's all!
I also adore my sister's Christmas cookies. She has made these so many times that she could mix the ingredients together, cut the cookies out with cookie cutters, bake them, and ice them with her eyes closed. She's a pro. We devour these at Christmas. Yep. No shame here!

So as y'all can see, we LOVE food. Most anything my family cooks is the best meal ever in my book. So good!

Christmas in July: Commenting Challenge Day 4

We have made it to day four, y'all! It's been so much fun this week!
Today's topic: Christmas gift ideas

I really have not thought of any upcoming Christmas gifts for anyone in particular. I honestly don't think about gifts until at least November. HA! So I thought I would just post a few Christmas pictures from last year and make it "Christmas in July".
The Price household LOVES Christmas! We have enjoyed traveling to Oklahoma to get a fresh tree for the past two years. It's so wonderful to do. I love the traditional look for Christmas decorating.
I made this gingerbread trifle for a Sunday school Christmas party.
We also make these heavenly cinnamon rolls every year and enjoy delivering them to family and friends.
Our Christmas morning breakfast at my Mom's house!
Just for kicks, I thought I would share this picture. This is a picture of my cousins and I reaching into the popcorn tin on Christmas Day years ago at Mamaw and Papaw's house. Yum! HA!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great Christmas in July! :)

Commenting Challenge: Day 3-Pinterest!

It's Day 3 of Jenna's Journey commenting Challenge. So far so good! This has been such fun so far and looking forward to the next couple days.
Today's topic? Pinterest!
These are all pins I have found, tried and loved! Cannot wait to share with you!

First off-Food!
This cheddar pecan cheese ring with strawberry preserves is amazing! I am so glad I found it. What can I say, I love cheese! HA!
Hot Buttered Fluffy Pretzels? Yes, please! My sister, Kelly, tried these earlier this spring and loved them. When I visited her a few months ago, we made these soft, heavenly pretzels. We devoured them. It was a real treat.
Weight Watchers Friendly is always good too! I love making jalapeno chicken. You make this in the slow cooker and it is oh so good.
I made this amazing cake a couple of weeks ago when my fam came to visit. We ate it all up!

Let's talk a little about beauty.
Want fast drying nails? Simply paint nails, and right after, spray PAM on your nails. Wipe excess off, it finishes drying MUCH faster than normal. Soo cool.

Funny finds:
This is just hilarious and needs no other caption!

Gift ideas:
Party in a box! We made one of these for our niece this spring. Just fill balloon with money and then tie up balloon. Throw in a box, and voila! We added a birthday banner, confetti, and candles. Fun!

I probably say at least once a week, "I found it on Pinterest." I am no Pinterest queen, but I love it!
So that's day 3, y'all! Looking forward to seeing everyone else's ideas! Have fun!

Commenting Challenge: Day 2

Day 2 of Jenna's commenting blog challenge is here!
I love today's topic-Favorite TV shows, movies, and books!
Russell and I love watching TV. We may or may not watch a little too much sometimes. HA! Here are my favorites!
Duck Dynasty, JACK! We love the Robertson family and are always entertained with every one of them! Most of all, I love them because they have such awesome values and beliefs that I fully support! They are awesome Christians and are not afraid to stand up for their faith!
Once Upon A Time is great! I love fairy tales. Love most any Disney princess. This is definitely several fairy tales with a twist!
Pretty Little Liars!  All I have to say is....who is A???
Anyone who knows me well knows I am a Steel Magnolias FANATIC! It's my all time favorite movie and it will always be my favorite movie! I hope to have some friends over sometime soon for a Steel Magnolias movie night. Russell and I have visited and stayed at the Steel Magnolias house twice. Loved it!
Karen Kingsbury is by far my favorite author. I started reading her books a few years ago and began with the Redemption series. So intriguing. So inspiring. Just awesome!

Well, I hope y'all can share your faves with me today and share what shows, movies, and books you really love. See ya tomorrow!

Challenge: Accepted! Day One

Jenna's blog commenting challenge is underway again! I have decided to join in on the fun this year and find other fun blogs!

Day One: About me and where to find me on social media!

For those of you who are brand new to this blog, welcome to Meredith's Moments! This little ole blog has been going for about five and a half years and counting! I started the blog about a month after my husband and I got married.
My husband is Russell and we have one little dog baby, Belle. She is our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who we spoil rotten. We live in Northwest Arkansas and love it here. I am a Southern belle who loves the Lord, loves my husband so much, and adores family and friends. Come back soon to learn even more about our little life.

Social Media Time!
I tell my friends that I "take all forms of communication." HA! My friends know they can text, call, facebook, twitter, instagram, or better yet-just come on over! HA!

I keep my facebook private.
I use each of them pretty regularly.

Tomorrow's topic is:
TV show/series/Reality show? What's your favorite? Or favorite movie or book series?

Thanks for stopping by! I better catch up on day one! Have fun commenting on ten new blogs!

Independence Day

It's catch up time on the blog! I am going to try to update every two days until I am caught up for the month of July. It's been busy but really fun!

We had a low key 4th of July, but we enjoyed staying at home for the day.
I made red, white, and blue fruit skewers with cheesecake yogurt dip for our 4th dessert. I loved the recipe and will definitely make it again!
We always love sparklers to celebrate!
Russell got this firework to light up right in front of our house.
 Money going up in smoke!
We also just sat in the back of Russell's truck that night and enjoyed our dessert and saw a few neighborhood fireworks. It was fun. God Bless the USA!!!
I have to share about these really fast. Dole banana dippers are my new favorite thing (yes, I have a lot of favorite things). Run to the grocery store and get them. They are a great treat! And only 3 WW PPV! YAY!

Please continue praying for sweet Maddie and her family! See the post below.

A Prayer for Maddie

Constant prayers have been lifted up to our Heavenly Father for sweet Maddie Kirkley. She is my friend, Jennifer's daughter. I have known Jennifer for as long as I can remember and we were childhood friends and spent a lot of time together when we were kids. Now, we are both grown up! Jennifer and her husband, Chad, have three children, Maddie, Triston, and Kyndal.
This is Maddie praying at church. Isn't it absolutely precious? Her hands are clasped oh so tight, and her eyes are closed, her head is bowed, showing reverence to our Father in heaven! Childlike faith is what we ALL need, right?
Maddie is one of the cutest little girls I know and always has a smile on her face. Would you please join me in praying for this sweet girl? Will you pray for her daily? Please do. Please pray for all her family and friends as well.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for Maddie. Thank you for her sweet
smile and her sweet personality.
We come before you now on or knees and ask you to heal Maddie.
I just pray that you place your healing hand on her and keep her strong.
I pray that you would give the doctors all the wisdom needed in order to help her.
I pray for Maddie's family and friends. I pray that you would comfort them and I pray you would
help them feel your loving arms around them. Let them know you are there with them!
In your sweet name we pray, Amen.

You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
Psalm 119:14

Identity in Christ

"Is this shirt I am wearing on trend?" "Will this eye makeup look pretty enough?" "Susie Q. has new shoes, and I need the same ones." "I wish I had a house like they do...."
As women, we have mostly said these things at least once (or twice) before in our lifetime. It can be so easy to worry so much about what is in style, how our hair looks compared to our friends or co-workers. I, myself, have struggled with asking myself a few of the same questions and the like. However, I am reminded that all the "froo froo stuff" doesn't matter in the end. It doesn't matter to God. He cares about what is in your heart.
It can be so very easy to sweat the small stuff in life, worry about weight compared to someone else, or compare what house you live in or the car you drive. Some people may even struggle and compare someone's smile to their own or something similar to different and unique features.
Our identity does not lie in what car we drive or which part of town we live in.
How do we treat others? Are we kind? Are we selfless? Are we selfish? Are we vain? Do we treat one another with agape love? Christ-like love? That's my prayer for myself. To treat others with that awesome, wonderful, contagious Christ-like love that never ends. Let's honor Christ with how we live. Let's live for Him. The one who created us. The one who sent His son to die for us! The biggest source of our identity comes from God!
That is pretty much my blog post for today. Yes, I know. Short and sweet. But it was on my heart.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness ad self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
