Call us The Griswold's

It seems you only sees the crazy stories in movies or TV shows, right? Wrong! We are only human and things happen. You can call us the Griswold's and here's why.
Last week, we got a beautiful fresh fraser fir Christmas tree. Those kind of trees, are big, beautiful, and they smell soo good! In the picture above, it may look a little...well...crooked. Russell and I tried to fix it many times, but Saturday night.....this happened.
Yes, it fell. We tried to fix it, but it kept giving us problems. We decided to take all ornaments and lights off the tree quickly and then.... TIMBERRR! I caught it just in time. Yes, you read right. When I began taking ornaments off, it fell. Then, I accidentally bumped into the mantle décor.
Crash! Turns out, we bought a bad tree. It was rotten and could have caused more damage if we were not paying attention.
Luckily, we fixed the problem.
Much better! We kept our fake tree and made it work!
Oh, were you wondering about the snow and ice? Here's our street. Not pretty.
Russell made a cute little snowman. He has holly for a smile, and cranberries for buttons and eyes. Our little Christmas snowman is kinda cute! :)
We are getting a little cabin fever. Russell went to work today, but we need to do a little shopping for Christmas. Plus, it would be great to head to the post office to get stamps. HA! However, I am so thankful to have electricity and hot water. So thankful for food in our pantry and clothes to wear. It puts things in perspective.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased."
Luke 2:13-14
