Fresh Market and Play Dough

I have missed blogging for a few days. Our laptop has been crazy lately! That's what technology does sometimes, right?  On a good note, sweet Faith redesigned my blog look! Thank you, Faith for everything! Love it!
Earlier this Summer, I posted about The Fresh Market opening soon.
It is NOW Open!!! I met Amy, Debbie, and Leighann there. The first thousand customers got a few freebies and then, of course, we browsed around!
Everyone was so very excited! Including me, obviously!

Yes, I know these pics are blurry, but I just couldn't help but post them. Too pretty!

 Flowers, anyone?
I love the whole store, but of course, my favorite part of the new store is the specialty cheeses they have. Mascarpone cheese, cheese with cranberries, New York Cheddar, and of course, brie. Heaven.
Leighann enjoyed riding in the little buggy. So funny!
 Fresh produce

Wednesday afternoon, Leighann came over for a little while. We watched Disney movies, read fun books and made play-dough!
We wanted to share the recipe with you! It is fun to make an fairly cheap, too.

Homemade Playdough

2 cups flour
2 cups water
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. cream of tartar
1 cup salt

Leighann says:
Mid all ingredients together in a large saucepan. Remember to measure!
Stir well, then let an adult mix over very low heat.
Keep stirring, and eventually it should form into one ball.
After it forms in a single mass, let cool slightly, then knead on cutting board.
Leighann even liked "kneading" the dough!
Form into four balls. Help the kids make a large thumbprint in each ball.
Carefully use food coloring to make any color you want. Just drop a few drops in "thumbprint".
Mix color in with dough until color forms.
You're all finished!
We made pink, blue, yellow and green play dough.
Kids love doing this. It's always fun! Tada!!

London 2012

Are you ready for the 2012 Olympic Games? The Price's are!

Oh, how I would love to visit London, England. What a wonderful time it would be! Yes, I'm just wishful thinking. :)
Friday, the opening ceremony will take place. How exciting!
I think my favorite sport for the Summer games is gymnastics. What is your favorite? Go TEAM USA!!!
Want a book to get you ready for watching those games? Get Shawn Johnson's book, Winning Balance. I will start reading this one pretty soon. So get ready to root for USA!

Hometown

First of all, I am sorry I haven't blogged in a while. We had to get a new hard drive for our laptop and we had to transfer data from one new hard drive to the other, which took a long time! HA! Plus, I have just been super busy in the meantime. Sooo.... onto blogging!

Russell and I L-O-V-E all our sweet family!! We had not visited them in a while in Central AR and South AR, so we made a time well-spent visit "down South."
Last Friday, we stopped at my sister, Kelly's house.
Lauren is a talented ballerina and I couldn't wait to see some of her new skills! :) We love pictures!
Ta-Da! Look at those pointe shoes!
Before dinner, we went "window shopping" at Anthropologie. Here's little L showing me that nail polish. We love picking out colors!
We had dinner at Big Orange. It's actually a burger place and so good!
 Kelly, Eric and Lauren!

 Logan, me and Russell
Lauren had fun trying on my earrings. So funny!
After dinner, we went to the Apple store to browse around.
Logan and Russell knew all about those computers and technology!
As you can see, we had a little too much fun with this computer app. No shame! HA!
Kelly and Lauren wanted to try it too! Hilarious! I saw this app before, but not on a large computer screen like this one. Just fun!
We all want a Mac! :)
Russell and I had such a good time with Kelly, Eric, Logan and Lauren. We always have fun together!
We got to Camden late Friday night, so we obviously rested.
Saturday, we went to Magnolia for a little while to see Jackie, Russell's mom. One of my sweet friends, Haley came by too! She and I had a good time catching up!

 Belle loves company too. :)
Mama, B.A, Jackie and Ricky joined Russell and I for dinner Saturday night at Postmaster's Grill in Camden.
It is actually an old post office building from a long time ago. That's why they call it "Postmaster's Grill."
Even the cloth napkins were made in the shape of envelopes. So funny.
 Mama and B.A.
 Ricky and Jackie
I had a yummy salad with berries and chicken.
 Russell and me

Sunday, we went to church and afterwards, we had lunch at one of the best restaurants in Camden--Woods Place. One of the best things about going to Woods is you always see people you know, including people you haven't seen in a while!
I was SO excited to run into Kelly! She is my friend from high school and college as well. We share hilarious memories, including craziness in Driver's Ed during our Senior year of high school. HA!
Sunday night, we went to church and saw even more friends! Here's Mama and Mary! Best friends!
Oh my goodness! I used to babysit these two sweeties! Sarah Cate and Caleigh are the cutest! Caleigh was a flower girl in our wedding, too.
Christy and her three girls! Christy is just the most kind person you can meet! Her girls are too!
 Kendall, Emily, and me
These girls are such sweet friends of mine. They are going to OBU in the Fall and I know they will love it! We had such fun and good laughs together, as always!

Monday morning, I visited my Aunt Nancy and saw my uncles Johnny and Buddy for a few minutes also.  We had a great visit and it's always good to be with the Jordan's! :)

Mama and I had fun together as always, too. But it just flew by!
It was such a good trip down to what we sometimes call "L.A." Lower Arkansas. HA!
What a true blessing family and friends are!!! Truly!

Happy Birthday, Nancy!!!

Today, July 18th is my sweet Aunt Nancy's birthday!
 Happy Birthday, Nancy!!
I love this picture of the two of us. This was taken at my engagement coffee five years ago.
Nancy,
I love you so much! You are so fun, so sweet and caring, and you have always been a great listener for me! :) Thank you so much for being a wonderful aunt and a wonderful person for many, many people! You are a true blessing for me!
Love, Meredith

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14

Crazy Me! Help if you can!

Oh my goodness! I have not blogged in a couple of days because right after I posted about the 4th of July, Russell was reading my blog. He said, "Where are all the posts from May and June?" I was confused at first, but then I remembered I was trying to delete blog drafts that I did not need. Crazy me must have accidentally deleted almost two MONTHS worth of blog posts. The crazy thing is, I have been the most busy in May and June with family and posted just memories on there like photo albums. Now I am pretty sure I can say "sayonara" to those posts. Goodbye, good riddence, Au revoir! Etc!
However, I am still clinging to a slight hope that someone out there in the blog world or internet world knows a way (just maybe) to get them back on blogger! I know, I am crazy for this, but if you know there is not a way, or if you know how to get the posts back, I would REALLY appreciate any feedback. Thank you so much!!!!!
Love, A Desperate Blogger... (Just laugh along if you must! :) )

A Fun Fourth

The 4th of July was busy and fun!
I finally feel caught up on blogging!
I just downloaded the picture collage app on my phone and I am loving it so far! This was my first little collage I made. Happy Everything!

Russell and I are both in choir at church. We had a special service on July 1st to celebrate America!
I have a friend who took this picture and I had to share it. I love it because it shows how we should really celebrate our independence. One Nation Under God! In God We Trust!!!!
I just love and adore sweet Susan. She is one of my sweet friends at church. It is so funny because I tell her that when I am around her it's almost like I am hanging out with myself because she is from South Arkansas like I am. We both have that "Southern Belle" accent and Southern Belle ways. But best of all, she is just an amazing example and one of my role models. We had to get a picture together!
 Russell is the best!
That Sunday night, we went to Fireworks at the Crosses in Rogers. It was great!

Wednesday (the 4th), we had a low key day but decided to have an early dinner at Crystal Bridges restaurant, "Eleven".
I decided to do my nails for the holiday and for fun!
We had an early dinner so we could get a good seat for the fireworks later that night!
Orchards Park is beautiful!!! Music was played and everyone was there celebrating!
We were thrilled to run into our sweet friends Raven, Laynette, and Rusty! Laynette is my hair stylist and she always does a fabulous job, by the way. Raven is about to start her first semester in college. Rusty and Russell always have a lot to talk about! We love the Riley's! We had to get a picture of us girls! :)
I didn't get a lot of pictures of fireworks on my computer, although I took more pics with my phone. But the whole fireworks display was awesome and we loved it!
We really had a wonderful and fun fourth of July!
