Oh, What Fun!

We have been busy lately in the Price household! Russell has to work some weekends but he was off the past two weekends and when he's off, we are always so happy to have extra time together! I mentioned the other day we were going to see the musical, Seussical, and we really enjoyed it. It was so fun and cute. Before we went to the musical we stopped by one of our favorite places in El Dorado

Elm Street Bakery! We ate a good lunch there and enjoyed it very much.
I just love the building. It is very historic and actually used to be an old post office. Interesting!
Can you say, "Yum?" YUM! They always have fresh cookies available, of course! We enjoyed the weekend a lot.
Monday, we visited Mamaw, Papaw and Amy, Tony and Leighann. Amy and Tony were down here for a couple of days. I got to play with this little two year old:
Little Lei Lei! We had a ball singing, reading, and playing together. She is one little cutie pie!
Cheese! I can't believe she is two now! Wow!
Russell enjoyed playing with Leighann too. He is so good with kids! Our week has been good so far. Busy, but good! Oh what fun it is to be with family and friends!

No, Oh people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

Oh, the Things You Can Think!

South Arkansas Arts Center is putting on a big show this week and we are going tomorrow afternoon. It's.....
 Seussical the Musical!
We are excited about it. Y'all know I already love musicals! I'm sure it'll be fun. It makes me think of all the books Dr. Seuss wrote for children.
 The Cat in the Hat
Oh, Baby the Places You'll Go
 Horton Hears a Who!
and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I'm sure I'll be singing to myself by the end of the musical tomorrow! Ha!

My experience shows that those who plant trouble and cultivate evil will harvest the same. Job 4:8

Blast from the Past

Pinterest has officially sucked me in. You can pin anything you want on there. I am a nostalgic person and I thought I would share with you some of the things I was thinking about as I made my "Childhood" board on pinterest. I was born in 1985. Those were the days, right? Those of you who were born around that time, enjoy!
Lets begin with the Puffalump. I loved this thing! I had a lot of stuffed animals at the foot of my bed and this was one of them. Cute!
Polly Pocket was the neatest thing to me! It came with two small plastic dolls. It was supposed to all fit in your pocket.
Doodle Bear was also cool to me. It came with 2 markers and you could draw on it and wash it, then start all over!
And this is noneother than the best game ever! HA! The one and only, Dream Phone! I am guessing if you had this game, you totally understand what I'm talking about!
American Girl Dolls! I had Kirsten. I was addicted to anything that was by that company. I adored it. I still have the Kirsten doll and still am pretty anal about anyone messing with her! HA!
I also adored American Girl magazine. I looked forward to each month so I could receive it in the mail. Lauren, my niece, actually likes this magazine too. She is 9.
Beanie Babies were all the rage in the 90's. I can't remember how many I had but it was quite a few! I still think beanie babies are really cute, but don't collect them anymore.
Here's the Yak Bak. What a cool contraption this thing was at the time! It recorded things and you played it back of course!
Babysitter's Club. I really liked the Babysitter's Club, but I also read the Little Sister books when I was little the most. I had a game, and a few collector books. I also loved watching The Babysitter's Club show.
Behold, Jelly Shoes! I had a few pairs of these! My Nanny always got jelly shoes for me when we went to Walmart together! Mama was not a fan of these shoes. But we loved 'em! :)
Last, but not least, LISA FRANK! I adored Lisa Frank anything and was also in the club. I'm sure if you loved Lisa Frank, you were in the club too! :) I hope y'all had fun taking a blast from the past with me! I am still a kid at heart. I have to say though, my how things have changed! Now kids love things like iPods, computers, TV, and video games! Ha! I also loved Lite Brite, Magic Nursery pets, Fisher-Price Doctor kit, play kitchen and so much more!

4th of July

How was everyone's 4th of July? We went to Camden to celebrate and spend it with family and friends.
Lauren and Kerrstyn loved playing together.
This only shows a little of the food we ate on Monday. I made cornbread salad with a French dressing, Kelly made deviled eggs, which were so yum, and we also had BBQ brisket, ribs, and chicken, baked beans, and bread. We also had homemade vanilla ice cream and Mary's famous cream cheese pound cake. It was all delish!
Logan, Lauren and me. We always love hanging out together. I just love them.
Logan, Colton, Lauren and Kerrstyn have such a ball together. They rode their bikes all around the neighborhood and also played in the sprinkler outside. Perfect for Summer! I kept calling Kerrstyn the "4th of July Princess" because she looks so cute in that crown! Ha!
Me and my 4th of July sweetie
Me and my sweet sister, Kelly. We had so much fun laughing and catching up like always. Sisters always have fun, right?
Camden put on their annual "Star Spangled Spectacular" later that night. Logan and Russell enjoyed playing football while waiting for the fireworks to start.
We just parked in the grass and sat in our vehicles to watch the fireworks! It was quite windy!
I didn't get too many good pictures of the fireworks, as they are always hard to photograph. But we enjoyed looking at them.
Hope y'all had a fabulous 4th! I know we sure did!
Yesterday, Russell and I took Logan and Lauren to the movies. The guys went to see Super 8 and the girls went to see Monte Carlo together. We always enjoy spoiling our nephew and niece. :)
I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free. Psalm 119:32

Kellye's Baby Shower

If y'all don't know already, I love wedding showers and baby showers and things like that. But more than that, I love seeing people I love while I'm there, too! Thursday, I attended a baby shower for my friend, Kellye. She is having a baby girl due at the end of this month! So exciting!
 Pretty table with favors
Playing a game at the shower!
Me and Kellye! She is going to be a great mom to Gabrielle!
Another thing I love about going to showers is meeting new people and making new friends! Erin, on the left, is such a sweetheart! It was a fun night.

Every good and perfect gift is from above... James 1:17

Unconditional Love

All of us have had hard times in our lives. I have heard it said before that in life, you are either about to enter in a storm, are in a storm at the present time, or have just come out of a storm. Most of you know about my story, but for those that don't know, just go down to the archives and click on February 2009 to learn a little more. Anyway, grieving has not been easy for me. I have learned SO much about grief recently. Every person deals with different situations differently. I have learned not to judge other people or what they do because I never know some of the things they are really going through. Everyone has a story. Not only that, but as Christians, we all have a testimony. During hard times God is refining us to be stronger, and greater people for Him. Russell and I are going through other situations right now that I won't share right now because it's just too personal for me to share at this time. I will not lie, there have been times when I thought, "Lord, what is your plan? Do you really have a plan for us?" There were times that I wanted to throw in the towel so much. I would also let things that certain people said to me get me way down. I would dwell on it a lot. I found it so easy to feel alone when that happened. HOWEVER, God DOES have a plan! And honestly, y'all, it does NOT matter what other people tell you. What matters is what the Lord says to you and it's up to you if you want to obey Him or not. It is best to obey Him, though. I am not perfect. I will never ever be perfect. In life, there will be hard days. But as long as you give all situations and concerns, grievences and more to the Lord, He will take you far. He will lift you up in due time!!! God heals. He Loves us! No matter what we have done in the past, He still loves us. It's that unconditional love that we can only truly experience through Him. You may be reading this and thinking, "Yeah right, Meredith. My situation will never get better. You just don't understand." Well, honestly, I have said that exact same thing to myself at times. I haven't gotten through these hills and valleys alone. I am so blessed to have so many faithful friends and family who pray for me and show me God's love. To my true faithful friends, I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means so much to me. But even if you feel you are alone, God is right there beside you. Just be still and know that He is God. Be still and listen to His still, small voice. If you are going through a hard time right now, y'all can really feel free to email me and I will pray for you. That's the beauty of blogging, right? I love getting to know new people and letting God use me to help others if I can help. I have heard this song, Stronger on the radio recently, but today, it hit me. I took the time to read the words on the screen and let God speak to me. Wow, I had tears in my eyes it was so amazing. I strongly urge y'all to click on the link below and watch the words on the screen. Listen to the still small voice from Him. I pray that it will help you in some way. I'll continue to listen to what He has to say and try to do that daily.
We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:18
...no trial has overtaken us that is not faced by others. And God is faithful. 1 Corinthians 10:13
