Daffodil Festival 2011

This weekend has been great! Thursday night, I picked up my adorable niece, Lauren and she stayed with us that night. Friday, Lauren and I met Mama for a quick lunch and then headed to the church family life center to decorate for the steak cook off.

Here are some of the beautiful daffodils. Look and see how beautiful they really are!

Here's Lauren, our little helper. I love this picture of her!!

I think my favorite part of the Daffodil Festival is the annual "Dine with the Daffodils." We drove out to a sweet family's estate then ordered a yummy lunch. I had BBQ Brisket on a croissant, brocolli cheese soup, and wonderful bread pudding for dessert. It was sooo nice to eat outside and enjoy the gorgeous landscaping and see daffodils. Lauren had fun with other kids and they picked SO many daffodils!

My Mamaw was there too. She has the best "green thumb" ever! Isn't the house just gorgeous in the background?

Later that afternoon, Russell and I enjoyed walking in downtown Camden. Of course we had to stop at our favorite--Yummy Cupcakes! Look at this beautiful "Daffodil tree"!!! Isn't it soo cute and pretty?
Soon it was time for the steak cookoff. MMM MMM Good! We were so full! We enjoyed visiting with so many people at the festival and at dinner too.

Look at this sweet girl!!!! Caleigh was one of my flower girls in our wedding 3 and a half years ago! She is such a precious girl!
Look at the cupcakes! The flavors were wedding cake, red velvet, almond joy, plus a Daffodil Festival exclusive cupcake--Buttercup! So cute and of course, yummo!

I hope y'all have an awesome and blessed week!

Hi Meredith! I used to live in Camden and went to FBC Camden. I love your mom! I always told her she sang like Cinderella! And I also LOVE you Grandma, sweetest lady ever! She reminds me of my Great Grandma! My Dad and in-laws still live in Camden. Gotta love the Daffodil Festival :)

She reminds me of my Great Grandmother. So glad I found your blog. My in-laws and my dad still live in Camden, but I got married and moved to Virginia. But you gotta love their daffodil festival :)
