Pink is My Signature Color

Hope you all had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! We enjoyed ours. Saturday afternoon, Russell and I traveled to Natchitoches, Louisiana. Guess where we stayed? You guessed it! The Steel Magnolia House! (yes, again!) We love it so much that we had to come back! Look at that picture of Shelby and M'Lynne! We stayed in the Shelby room this time. Saturday night, we relaxed and then had pizza for dinner at a local pizza place. Of course-it was yummy!

Sunday morning, we had breakfast with all the other guests. All of the guests were really nice and funny too!

Christina and her husband live in the house and they also run the Bed and Breakfast business there also. I know I mentioned before, but Christina is the sweetest. She loves what she does, which is serving others every day. She cooked a great breakfast of quiche, sweet potatoes, and an apple dumpling!

After our breakfast, we met Lori Tate. Who is Lori Tate, you ask? Mrs. Lori played Jackson's mother in the movie Steel Magnolias. She is the cutest lady and hilarious, to top it off! She drove us around and gave us a "Steel Magnolias Tour"!

So pretty, right? This is where Annelle walked down the street at the beginning of the movie!
We saw many other houses and things like that where the celebs stayed during the filming. Pretty interesting.
Of course, we had to get a picture with her! She is a true character!
We enjoyed the downtown area in Natchitoches. So neat to see!

We also drove a few miles outside town to see the church the wedding was filmed in. This is Russell doing a reenactment of Shelby's daddy before the wedding. HA!

So neat!

We stopped at Grand Ecore too. So pretty!

All the actors in the movie had a plaque made for the "walk of fame" in Natchitoches.

Christina left a little treat for us!
Monday morning, she made creme brulee lost bread. It is seriously heaven on a plate, I am telling ya'll!

I can't say enough about what a fun time we had. Going places is one of our favorite things to do! Hope ya'll have a great rest of the week!
